Recommended Equipment

As an independent producer of software, Microinvest has developed relationship with a number of different types of devices from different manufacturers and dealers. Each of the devices has its advantages and disadvantages. That is why it is difficult to determine the preferred equipment. However, the foundations of success can be determined in implementation of one or another device:

  • The device is tested under real conditions and should be tested under the software of Microinvest;
  • The manufacturer of the device should maintain and develop the device;
  • There should be high-quality and sufficient technical documentation for the operation of this device;
  • The partner should know how to work with the device.

Devices that Should Be Avoided

There are many types and models of devices that should be avoided. Here are some of the important features of these devices:

  • The manufacturer does not produce or does not support this device;
  • Lack of any documentation for the device;
  • The device has proven to be unstable and often defective;
  • Non-standard performance and failure to maintain records of work;
  • Unfamiliarity with the technology of work and programming device.

When using equipment with any of these characteristics it is highly likely that a problem that cannot be solved quickly might arise and that the manufacturer does not endeavor to reach a solution. This may lead to difficulty or inability to work in real mode and failure of the project.

Other Factors

A key factor for the proper setup and operation of the hardware is the documentation of service and equipment drivers, software and technical service information. As an example of such situation is when the open global manufacturer Epson can not do Cyrillic or cannot even be turned on.

As an example such situation occurs when some of the open global manufacturer like Epson can not or do not enable Cyrillic to be added. The reason for this appears to be in the setup code table or parameters for connection, but when there is no appropriate documentation any adjustment cannot be made.

Summary

The proper selection of equipment is a fundamental requirement for the success of any implementation. Microinvest recommends the following the rules:

  1. Use equipment that you know well and with which you have worked;
  2. Keep in touch with the service centers and equipment manufacturers;
  3. Make a consultation with Microinvest to make sure that the printer has gone through tests;
  4. Test the device in the office.
