Microinvest products allow quick and easy automation of a small boutique. The time required to set up the hardware is about 3-4 hours. The introduction of nomenclatures takes 1 to 5 days and the actual launch of the site is 2 hours.

Hardware

In small shops you can set one workplace that act as sales, delivery and control of goods. Experience shows that the most appropriate option for automation is to install notebook or specialized trading terminal. Recommended parameters for this terminal are:

  1. Processor, 1.6 GHz or higher;
  2. Minimum 512 MB RAM memory;
  3. 40 GB HDD;
  4. The presence of a COM port or USB adapter to COM;
  5. Suitable screen size from 14 "to 19";
  6. Barcode scanner, USB recommended laser model;
  7. Fiscal printer or checks.

Software applications

For proper operation of the system is necessary to install the following components

  1. Windows XP ,Windows 7 or Windows 8. It doesn`t matter what variation. Home versions do an excellent job.
  2. Microinvest Warehouse Pro, which will perform task delivery and returns;
  3. Microinvest Warehouse Pro Light, which is front office system and will automatame sales.

The recommended database for such point of sale is Access. In this case, the system will work with Access database and does not require any additional installation components.

Technology for implementation steps

Within 2-3 hours all hardware and software components are installed and a test of the database is done. All hardware devices should be tested for proper work. A short training is done to the operators about how to enter new items (mainly items and partners) and they are left to work 1-2 days. This time is neccessary for them to become more familiar with the system and to make some test, i.e. operations and reports. After about 1-2 days a new database is made, more in-depth operator training is performed and the actuall entereing of items, partners and clients is started. The important items such as objects and users are entered under the guidance of the technical specialist. Nomenclatures are built for about 1 to 5 days. It is possible to make import from Excel file nomenclatures or other software. It is desirable to establish rules on how to make groups and how to enter names (large, small letters, abbreviations). After you have entered all nomenclatures an inventory of the stock in the store is recommended to be done. The inventory is made of all the items, recommended to be by groups. Purchase and selling prices are entered. As a final step, you should setup the program settings and precisely set the user access rights. This is how the implementation of the store is finished and all you need is an additional regular system maintenance.
