Based on our experience in the last 10 years, we recommend completing the following 10 rules during the implementation process.

10 Golden Tips

  1. Make a plan and check the condition of the POS system (the hardware equipment plus the operating system). Define the communication method between the workstations and the database type. We recommend to use MS SQL Server database.
  2. Always install the latest version of the product. You can find them uploaded on our web site any time when you need them. Just type: www.en.microinvest.net.
  3. Install all software applications on each workstation. Start first with Microinvest Warehouse Pro, then go on with Microinvest Warehouse Pro Light and if planned MS SQL Server installation.
  4. Create a test database and make a connection with all workstations to see if everything is working
  5. Define the main settings of the system – work with VAT, lots, automatic production. Read more about the different methods here.
  6. Define Users, Items, Partners and Locations. The software solution gives you enormous power to create and group items, to define different access rights and locations, to keep different information about your company, your suppliers and partners. Just the way you want it! Read more the automatic way to Import Items and Import Operations.
  7. Setup the peripheral equipment. Connect fiscal printers, POS printers, cash registers, scales, barcode readers and so on using Microinvest Warehouse Pro Light. Test each of the devices and make sure that they are working smoothly.
  8. Test - create a few test operations in Microinvest Warehouse Pro and Microinvest Warehouse Pro Light to see if everything is working and to show your client how to make it. We recommend making at least one Purchase, few Sales and printing few documents for each of the operations. Don't forget to void the test operations if the client won't use them.
  9. Create the Access Rights system. In other words defines who will do what. Define each user access immediately.
  10. Train the administrator of the system and the other users.
